As students develop the business through which they will sell the jewelry and wire sculpture, they will employ mathematical skills and knowledge. Primarily they will develop skills in statistics and data analysis as they develop their financial plan, make market predictions, and analyze their expenses, sales, and profits. Students will:
  • collect, organize, and describe data systematically;
  • construct, read, and interpret tables, charts, and graphs;
  • make inferences and convincing arguments that are based on data analysis;
  • evaluate arguments that are based on data analysis;
  • and develop and explain why statistical methods are powerful aids for decision making.
